Yes, we have great walleye fishing in September. A 27 incher by Jeremy, who said the fishing was fast and furious with many over 20 inches. Most of the action was at 21 feet deep but the honey hole and below the falls saw lots of action.

We have some great walleye fishing along Joe’s Island. We are often asked Who is Joe? and What do I have to do to get an island named after me? This Joe found some great fishing along the skinny island on the east side of south bay. In five days, Joe…

Ken with a nice walleye. If you have fished Goose Lake, you will recognize this spot. Doug suggested I tell Ken to not bother fishing here. The hot spots change everyday. Great walleye fishing in deeper water this week (20 feet plus). Lots of walleye over 20 inches each day.

Fishing is great. Lots of walleyes in the 20 to 26 inch range. Numbers are impressive too. The new fishing spot in the middle of the lake is producing very well. Great weather, sunny and warm. The bugs are almost nonexistent compared to June.

It has happened again. A 28 inch walleye and a 27 inch walleye caught within minutes of each other. This time it happened to long time guests Lon and Ron (they are twins). Lon caught the 28 incher and less than 10 minutes later, Ron boated the 27 incher.

The fishing has been great. Walleye to 30 inches and northern to 42 inches. Yes, even lots of great eaters.
