MONROE LAKE HERO 1

Monroe Lake

Monroe Lake fish

The Monroe Lake outpost is what most people imagine in a remote fly-in outpost. The lake water at Monroe is a clear green color that produces plenty of trophy walleye and northern pike every year. Guests can catch many fish right off the dock as the bottom drops off quite steeply away from the island. Two nearby portage lakes are easily accessible and teeming with walleye and northern pike for the adventurous anglers. The Monroe Lake Outpost features the ever-dependable Yamaha 6-hp motors teamed with 14-ft Alumarine or Lund boats.

The cabin sits on a small island with a commanding view of the lake. This cabin sleeps up to six guests and has hot and cold running water as well as a shower area with a wash basin. The fully equipped cabin has plenty of cupboard and counter space There is a walk-in pantry with ample shelving for storage. Propane appliances include a stove, refrigerator with freezer, and chest-type freezer. A gas barbecue and a fish fryer are conveniently located outside on a brand-new large deck. An outdoor privy is located a short walk nearby. The cabin is illuminated by solar powered electric lights. The Monroe Lake cabin also includes an inverter connected to the solar panels to provide 12V and USB power inside the cabin to power portable electronics and depth finders. There is a satellite phone at Monroe Lake, and we will schedule a check flight during the week.
