Well James Robinson came close enough when he thought the yellow barrel was a marker for Gas Can Rock. It will actually be filled with water and mounted on the rock in the middle of the lake that normally has a small yellow marker. This barrel should be visible from most of the main lake. When the water is high the entire rock is submerged and the barrel will appear to be standing on the water. Louise sometimes refers to this rock as Sid’s rock. Bill’s father found this rock the hard way in our first season 1978. The photo is taken facing north.  The seagull rocks are in the background.
