    Today we got Unnamed Lake ready. We installed the reef markers and cleared the portage.  On the way back to Red Lake, we stopped at Monroe Lake to finish painting the exterior of the cabin

    The new deck at Monroe. We kept the two burn barrels going full blast to burn up the old deck. We also cleaned out the old plywood from under the cabin.

    Ryan and Bill have been busy at Monroe Lake. The old deck is being removed, which had three layers of wood floor. The original one inch rough boards were mostly sawdust.

    This morning, Bill picked up a group of four from Monroe Lake, the last group at Monroe in 2016. In 2015, they caught five northern pike over 40 inches. They only got two over 40 inches this year but each was 45 inches.

    A load of lumber to Monroe Lake. The ice has been sinking the dock at Monroe a little each winter and we have built a dock on top of the old dock about 10 inches higher. The project is about halfway done.
