Grandpa Tom set the bar high for the whole family with this 30 inch walleye only two hours into the fishing trip. Fortunately, the family was there to supervise and video the effort.

Late evening, the spinnerbait below produced the 40.25 inch northern. This great pike was the last fish of the trip and was caught at the Honey Hole by Steve R with his son Taylor standing by on the landing net. 

Check out this spinner bait with the white twister body and black skirt. It was the secret lure in North Bay this morning. Note the lead head is almost completely stripped of paint. This lure worked great on both northern and walleye.

 Great weather, fantastic fishing and shore lunch as a bonus.

Meanwhile in Cabin 2, family friend, Matt K kept the trend going with this 29 inch walleye at Woman Falls.

The rest of the family made a respectable showing. Dave’s daughter Shannon, who was on a roll catching nice Northerns, switched to a slip bobber and caught this nice 26.5 inch walleye. Bud, the family patriarch, scored second place with a personal best 28 inch walleye.

The family that fishes together at the Honey Hole stays together and they catch many nice fish.

Not to be outdone by either his brother or his nephew, Dave S landed this 29 inch walleye this morning.

Later that same day, Steve S not to be outdone by his son Ryan, landed this 27.5 inch walleye in the same spot. Ryan was on the landing net.

An early changeover this morning. By noon Ryan S was back at camp with this picture of his 25.5 inch walleye caught below Woman Falls.
