We flew to Unnamed Lake and completed the shut down there. We even managed to cut and split the pile of wood in front of the cabin.

The record low water also means a record rice crop. The last load of the 15,000 pounds harvested this fall.

The latest pictures from Tim are just in from the August 27- September 3 trip to Unnamed Lake. Lots of great northern pike with several measuring 40+ inches.

Ryan and Eliza took part in the annual Red Lake Fall Classic Walleye Tournament. They finished in the top 35 of 131 boats. There were a lot of big walleye caught this year. Eliza caught this nice northern while fishing for walleye.

All of our efforts are now focused on the rice crop. So far, we have shipped 6,000 pounds.

The first load of rice for the season. This is six days earlier than our record early rice pick.

It would appear that we have a new group of eagles at Goose Lake and they are not familiar with the usual routine. Roger managed to find one that was hungry enough to pick up a dead fish.

This year has seen the lowest water level on the Berens River in the 45 years we have been here. This follows the highest water level ever in 2022.
