    We closed down Monroe Lake today. We also cut and hauled three boat loads of firewood for next year. The fire killed trees make great firewood but they are very dirty to work with.

    We are almost finished at Goose Lake. Today, we replaced some more cabin supports and washed the decks with deck wash solution and the high pressure washer. We are very pleased with the results as the decks look new.

    The season is almost over. We are cutting and splitting firewood for next year. We also poured some replacement concrete anchors for our reef markers.

    The Kelley/Armstrong crew fished Unnamed Lake for three days August 26. Their largest northern was 43 inches and they caught 12 walleye 23 inches and over. The largest were two 27 inchers.

    For those who have fished Nechigona Lake from Goose Lake and noticed that this year the Walleyes were not in the channel like years past. The Dawson crew in the photo caught 578 Walleyes in the channel today.

    This 28 inch Walleye was caught by Ron Weeks, first cast of the trip in the Honey Hole at Goose Lake.  Water depth 13 feet and water temp 66 degrees.  The group also caught a 26 and 27 inch as well.

    We are at Goose Lake and we are getting our much needed rain (about an inch so far).  Fortunately, we got the Crabb crew into Unnamed on Thursday where they are still fishing and smiling in the rain.
