We installed a cable from the generator to the inverter. The inverter is very heavy and we ended up using a small come-a-long to lift it into place.

We wired up the panels to the panel combiners.

We finished installing all of the solar panels.

We assembled and installed the rails that hold the solar panels.

We built the frames for the solar panels and stood them up. We moved the batteries to the battery box.

We fastened the 6×6 timbers to the threaded rod on the sonotubes and cut down the 130-year-old jack pine tree beside the brown shed.

We built a box for the 24 batteries.

We poured concrete into the tubes and installed threaded rod anchors and rebar.

We poured a slab to mount the battery box. We dug holes to install the sonotubes and big feet anchors.

Eliza’s parents, Joni and Leelan, as well as Ryan’s dad Shaun came to camp to help with the solar project.
