Grandpa Tom set the bar high for the whole family with this 30 inch walleye only two hours into the fishing trip. Fortunately, the family was there to supervise and video the effort.

Late evening, the spinnerbait below produced the 40.25 inch northern. This great pike was the last fish of the trip and was caught at the Honey Hole by Steve R with his son Taylor standing by on the landing net.

Check out this spinner bait with the white twister body and black skirt. It was the secret lure in North Bay this morning. Note the lead head is almost completely stripped of paint. This lure worked great on both northern and walleye.

The rest of the family made a respectable showing. Dave’s daughter Shannon, who was on a roll catching nice Northerns, switched to a slip bobber and caught this nice 26.5 inch walleye. Bud, the family patriarch, scored second place with a personal best 28 inch walleye.
