The new guys at Monroe Lake really take advantage of the deck. The Monroe cabin is on a very small island which makes an almost bug free location. Combined with plentiful walleyes and a very good chance at at large northern makes Monroe a great choice for a fishing trip.

The weather is a little cooler today but the fishing is hot. Several guests remarked that today was the best day of fishing they ever had. The photo is a 26 1/2 inch walleye at the Honey Hole.  Yes, hundreds of nice walleyes every day in JULY.

A little cool early in the week with a few thunderstorms. The walleye have moved a little deeper in the 10-12 feet range, but are still in the Honey Hole. Good action in the central part of the lake and along the wall to Gas Can rock. Warmer weather for the end of the…

The weather is still fantastic. Warm but not hot with light winds each day. Here is one of the 28 inch walleye caught this week. This one was right in the fast water below White Dog Falls.
