Thank you for your
interest in our Unnamed Lake Outpost. Our outpost is
situated on a narrow piece of land that provides
access on 2 sides to Unnamed Lake. The lake is
well sheltered, being almost like a chain of small
lakes about 10 miles long with numerous bays and
narrows where Walleye and Northern are found.
The lake water is fairly clear so anglers have to pay
attention to the position of the sun at all
times. Although there are deep spots of 40 feet,
the average depth is 6-12 feet. Unnamed Lake produces
some excellent Walleye fishing and exceptional
Northern Pike fishing. This is the sole cabin on this lake and easily accommodates 8. The fully equipped cabin boasts plenty of cupboards and counter space. Propane appliances include a stove, refrigerator, chest type freezer, and beverage cooler. A gas barbecue sits on the outside deck. Hot and cold running water and a shower and basin are also to be found in the cabin. An outdoor privy is located nearby. The Unnamed Lake outpost features 9.9 Hp Johnson motors. Boats are 14 foot Lunds and Alumarines. Please note: You can be reassured that there is an emergency satellite telephone at this location and we make a weekly flight to check up on your party. We supply potable water and ice at no charge. |
The Unnamed Lake cabin features two refrigerators with a freezer above and a chest type deep freeze. The secret to having cold beer is to place the beer in the chest freezer to get it good and cold and then put it in the second refrigerator. The freezers above the refrigerators provide plenty of room for frozen foods. We keep a good supply of ice in the chest freezer to act as a heat sink so the freezer doesn't get behind trying to cool the beer. Take the beer to the ice. Don't take the ice to the beer and you will have plenty of ice cold beer. | |

Our Conservation Policy |
Our pristine lakes
have very limited fishing pressure and it is our
wish to preserve the fantastic quality of this
precious resource. To this end we have adopted the
following fishing restrictions: no one is to harm in
any way a Walleye over 18 inches or a Northern over
27 inches. These fish represent our breeding stock
and must immediately be returned to the water after
catching. Grab ONE quick photo, but do not put the
fish on a stringer or delay its return to the water.
We encourage fishing barbless as it reduces the
mortality rate when catching and releasing fish.
It's possible to catch and release hundreds of fish
per day.
We
invite you to eat your fill of smaller fish but
allow no take home fish at all. |
How to make reservations |
Please
contact us for available dates. Tentative
arrangements can be made by phone but all firm
reservations require a deposit ($300 US per
person) at the time of reservation. Deposits are
transferable with 60 days notice, but not
refundable. Personal cheques are accepted for
deposits only. The balance must be paid in full
with traveler's cheques or cash before leaving
camp. Our location is such that we do not have a
large volume of traffic past our facilities. We
must depend on advance reservations. Once we
reserve a cabin, we remove it from the market
refusing all other requests. A booking must be
accompanied by a deposit within 2 weeks -- if not,
the cabin is opened up to other fishermen. Our
policy is intended to be fair to our guests, yet
prevent the loss of income to our business. |
